"Centcom chiefs issued emergency orders to the crew of the B1, one of
several US warplanes flying at will over Baghdad. In recent days, with
Iraq’s air defences all but destroyed, American bombers and fighter jets
have been “stacking” over the capital, ready to be called into action 24
hours a day. The B1 had been heading to a pre-planned target after mid-air
refuelling, but was immediately diverted.

Twelve minutes after receiving their orders and the restaurant’s
co-ordinates, the crew dropped their deliberately specific payload.

The first two “bunker buster” bombs were designed to pierce any armour
protecting the meeting. The second two had delayed “25 millisecond” fuses,
and were designed to explode deep underground."

If that's what they were carrying, I wonder what their originally
designated target was?

It seems quite a specialist bomb load to be carted about the heavens on a whim.
