Replying to a message of Tony Ingenoso to John Cuccia: TI> From: "Tony Ingenoso" TI> This may sound rough, but I don't think moral authority counts for TI> anything in a genuine gutter fight. This post 9-11 thing is one we TI> need to win, period. The alternative, widespread terrorism in CONUS TI> is flat out unacceptable. That wasn't *ever* going to happen despite the wild claims of administration officials and the hype put out by the Ministry of Truth organs. There were *seven years* between incident #1 and incident #2 in this country. What we will have to deal with now is *worldwide* terrorism and open season attacks against US citizens - and possibly westerners in general - anywhere and everywhere on the planet. Dubya now having provided bin Laden and similar outfits with thousands of new recruits to do the dirty work. What we *should* have done was continue exactly what we were doing before Dubya invaded (conquered, I suppose, since it seems to be about over) Iraq: catch the individual members of bin Laden's organization - and others, such as Hamas and Hezbollah, as necessary - and take care of them individually as I noted in a post a week or so ago. 'course, this strategy would take time and it wouldn't provide the administration with a 24x7 propaganda blanket, it wouldn't provide the generals with opportunities to use their new wunderweapons, it wouldn't kill a lot of people that don't need to be killed, it wouldn't provide defense profiteers contracts to replace expended munitions, it wouldn't give the DC regime an excuse to continue its destruction of the Constitution and it wouldn't give Dubya a country (or the US taxpayer) for his corporate buddies to plunder under the guise of rebuilding. Oh yeah - it wouldn't alienate the rest of the world, either. ---* Origin: Bob's Soapbox, Plattsmouth, Nebraska, USA (1:379/103.104) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 379/103 1 633/267 |
