Umpire Rich Garcia should be suspended for failing to do his job.  As a foul 
line umpire, he has just two responsibilities - calling balls fair or foul, 
and WATCHING FOR FAN INTERFERENCE.  Yet, he completely botched TWO fan 
interference calls, including the obvious one that turned a deep flyout into 
a game-tying home run.  Yet, umpires face no punishment for not doing their 
jobs.  Players who play poorly are benched, demoted, or released - umpires 
who stink just get to keep going out there and screwing up.
And what's the story with the plate umpire calling Alomar out on a pitch six 
inches outside, and then doing a Leslie Neilsen dance?
Richie "Loudmouth" Phillips had another press conference before the game, in 
which he spouted his usual rhetoric about the integrity of the umpires and 
the respect they deserve.  Then, Barnett and Garcia go out and demonstrate 
exactly why the umpires have no integrity, and don't deserve respect.  Fire 
them all!  *adh*
