Personally, I'm using a cable modem, hooked to a 10mbps EtherNet card.
Costs about $60.00 p/mth total. This isn't too bad, when you consider
that most folks who are on line a lot have a separate phone line.
Let's say this line on average is $15.00 - $20.00 p/mth. Then add the
typical $20.00 p/mth InterNet account fee. The $60.00 I pay includes
the InterNet account. It's not that big of a difference, to have the
performance. As an example, I sucked down IE 4.0 (24.5 Meg) in less
than 3 minutes. I'll pay the extra $20.00 - $25.00. :)
