The "Whole lot of bucks" is the key.

I have a friend who owns a CD broker business, who has now moved into doing
his own printing. Bought a 5 color Heidelberg (and hired the pressman to
run it). He also has a full photo printer for match prints, PLUS an Epson
printer that looks like a plotter (paper moves while heads just go back and
forth). He layed out a two large prints and asked me to pick which was the
inkjet, and which was the photo print. They were identical. You couldn't
tell the difference. Big COST difference though to generate that match
print.
