Although mentioned at a recent meeting of the Chicago Area Radio
Monitoring Association (CARMA), the BBS was going to be shut down after
the 1st of January, 1997. However, the BBS
will remain up and running! Expenses connecting to a server for
Internet email made the finances cut short. However, due to massive
requests from BBS users, the system will remain a "local-only
single-node dial-in" system as before. All iNET ties will be severed due
to the costs of the gateway and server.
The phone number remains the same, 630-852-1292, and info can be faxed
to 630-512-0609. We have over 4500 files on the drive, and a very active
message forum. The Club meets every other month at various locations in
Metro Chicago. Stay tuned to the BBS for locations of the meeting or
read the newsletter if you are a subscriber.
Thanks to all for your support and encouragement in convincing me to
keep the system up 'n running!
