Hope you are enjoying the T-26. We just finished our second season on the
Tanzer 28 -- the one with the flush deck like the more widely-known Tanzer 2
We particularly enjoy when owners of 30-34 foot boats come aboard. Their
usual first words are "My ! You've got a lot of space!" On the water,
one of our enjoyable sidelines is overtaking our stablemates to take their
picture -- for *some* reason most of us don't have many shots of our pride
and joy in action.
We love our "freighter with legs".
Here's something that will keep you from tearing your hair out if/when you
need to replace something: Yachting Services P.O. Box 1045 Pointe Claire,
Quebec H9S4H9. (514) 697-6952. The founder was president of Tanzer Industrie
from 1968-1985. If they don't have the original part, they should know where
to find it. They DO have many (most?) of the original molds.
Another good source of info is the Tanzer 22 Class Association (which is
fairly active and has been kind enough to take the other Tanzers under their
wing. One reason for this may be that the class newsletter's Editor just
moved up to the Tanzer 27!) They're at PO Box 22 Ste. Anne De Bellevue, QC
H9X 3L4 (514) 457-3929; Fax: (514) 457-1589; 76463.3331@Compu$erve.com.
Again, ENJOY the Tanzer.
