1 Gig seems like an awful high number.  I doubt that that's the
case.  I think maybe you misread it.  Also, bear in mind, when
you see advertisement of speed like that, it is typically in "bits",
not "bytes".  Hence the MB usually stands for, "MegaBits".  Big difference.
