GC>Thank you very much - your package arrived today and will be a great
>asset
>to us for the Kub Kar information.
GC>The recipes are a welcome addition to the growing collection and will
>definately help round out the variety I have here. I will make sure that
>you get a copy when it is completed!
I will have a look around maybe I might have a few more. Know I have
some on cooking bread on a stick and one where you put a weiner in some
baking powder type dough and cook it over the fire. This one I have
tried works great but I just can't eat all of it, really filling. :)
Have you or are you taking recipes out of the Leader Magazines?
Are you putting into your recipe book campfire cooking hints, safety,
types of campfires, make it yourself cooking equipment eg reflector
ovens, outdoor cooking cleanliness etc.?
GC>I have also put together a collection of Scouting songs and will make that
>available too once I have finished it. I have put together songs from
>several web sites and a few other locations so it will be a nice composite
>for any Scouting Group.
I have some questions on your songs.
1. Are they just words with the tune mentioned or the music as
well?
2. Are you getting any out of the Leader Magazines?
The reason I ask is if anyone (such as me) wished to send you some
through here music would be impossible but words would be ok. Also I
have some song books here that you might be interested in some but since
a lot of songs are so popular most books would have them. Is it possible
to list your songs that you have so far. Don't want to have to type a
lot of duplicate songs to you.
Since you are doing songs and recipes have you ever considered doing one
on campfire skits?
GC>Thanks again and feel free to send any other recipes at any time!
Will do. Glen have you been to the public library and looked at the
Sierra Clubs recipe book. That might be a good idea to get some other
camping recipes, library books. I have gotten a lot of recipes this way.
I find most recipe books too expensive and when you look in them you
find that a lot of the recipes you would never make or have ingredients
the average kitchen would seldom have, so not worth buying but maybe one
or two recipes out of 3 or 4 hundred pages are GREAT. I think the best
recipe books out there are Best of Bridge and Companies Coming for good
recipes and usable overall. Those I would buy.
