Hi Rick,
RP--> DM++> RP> I was going to say the same thing :) Looks like enough
RP--> DM++> RP> material for _two_ years there.
RP--> BA> It should be ...6 years really.
RP-->That's correct really, because any one of those topics is infinitely
RP-->open-ended. The only thing to watch for is to not gloss over any one
RP-->item so quickly that the time spent (and the opportunity) is essentially
RP-->wasted.
That's a very important point. I want to go slow enough and provide
oportunity enough for the utility to become apparent to the
students, to the point where they can think of applications
themselves. I think this means that I need to pace the instruction
according to the needs of the students as it gets revealed by what
they do, rather than attempt to cover the entire syllabus just
because I have the outline. I always teach that way though, it's
kind of an attitude I guess.
RP-->In other words, do enough of any given topic to make it a worth-

I remember, with much horror, my first year's struggle to "Cover
the book" I never did cover the book but I wrestled all the time
feeling that it was what I ought to do...... knowing better all
the while. It's strange huh ?
RP-->understand the importance of online communication and be able to send a
RP-->message". You can bet the dudes who wrote up these guidelines did their
RP-->homework on slate tablets ;-)
Well, I couldn't afford the chalk or the slate so I had to use the
backside of a snowshovel and a piece of charcoal
Peace
Bob
