That wasn't Gates' fault - that was the way *CRUSHER* was written.  Hell, 
even she stated that she didn't understand why anyone would go to Crusher's 
sickbay since she managed to kill all her patients.  Please try to 
distinguish between a character and the actor who portrays the character.
