Here in Montreal, we bought 150 of them after 6 month of comparative
fiels trials between Ferno 35a and Stryker. The results were clearly in
favor of Stryker and the company bought them. It is a bit more
cumbersome than the Ferno 30 we were using, but because of the high rate
of people being on workers compensation, studies showed that they were
better to use the stair-chair stretcher when there was more than 6 steps
involved.
The Stryker broke les often than the Ferno( 18$ for Stryker compared to
850$ for Ferno, during the trials).True, it does not go to all the
places tat the old Ferno went, but our workers comp. list has drop
significantly since we have them.
