I've got WPD 6.0 ... someplace ... but use WPD 5.1.  "Add" just adds
the word(s) to the supplemental dictionary, which is a WP document
you can review and edit.  The Spell program can (or could) be used
to incorporate it into the main dictionary.  (In theory, WP should
treat the supplemental dictionary just like the main dictionary and
display words from it as options.)
