This discussion arose out of a message which Felipe T. Dorado wrote to me
and said, "But when one cannot afford Fido, a computer or a phone
line. then the Inet is simply science fiction." That was on Dcember
29

I referred Felipe to the free access to the Internet one has here through
one of many public libraries and he has not yet responded. But Michiel
said that Internet access through libraries in the Netherlands was not free
and my response to that was have the library get a Gates Foundation Grant.

You are more ambitious than I am or you are a fair bit younger. I think
Fidonet will outlive me.:-)

Take care,
