Hello All!
Is anyone out there? :-)
I've got a question... Has anyone successfully gotten FrontDoor 2.33mL (DOS
version) to work with SIO 2.02 on OS/2 Warp 4 (with FixPak 14 and kernel
fixes)? I'm attempting to do that; I tried putting VX00.SYS in CONFIG.SYS
and in each DOS window, but FD complains that it requires a Version 5
FOSSIL driver. If I don't use VX00.SYS and instead load BNU.COM or X00.EXE
(DOS version 2.02), it works, though over telnet (VMODEM), there's a
noticeable delay. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
Here are the relevant lines in CONFIG.SYS (if VX00.SYS is loaded):
device=C:\sio2k\uart.sys logfile=C:\sio2k\sio2k.log
device=C:\sio2k\vsio2k.sys logfile=C:\sio2k\vsio2k.log (vIrqList 3,4)
device=C:\sio2k\vmodem.sys logfile=C:\sio2k\sio2k.log NoPause nPorts=4
device=C:\sio2k\sio2k.sys logfile=C:\sio2k\sio2k.log os2shares
device=C:\sio2k\vx00.sys logfile=C:\sio2k\sio2k.log
And yes, COM.SYS and VCOM.SYS have been REMed out.
Thanks,
Bill
