Possibly, although some might insist that cricket is more than just a game.

Based on my experience of lazy Sunday afternoons watching/helping out in
the scoring hut for our local village team I'll agree that it's certainly
all very civilised. It's as if everyone, including the audience, is playing
out the expected genteel role. I understand things are a little different
in Australia.
