Yes, Falco does have a sly way about him. The Saylor series, at this first
one, is much more serious, although it does have its lighter moments.
The main character, Gordianus the Finder, gets sarcastic when a "lighter
air" is needed. Another major difference is that the love of Falco's life
is many steps above him, socially and financially, while Gordianus' love
turn's out to be his female slave.
