I just picked up a Maxtech X2 56K internal with voice for $129.
I had a USR 33.6 and the Maxtech is every bit as reliable as
the USR was. I get a 48000 conncet at AT&T Worldnet every time.
They also offer a free upgrade to whatever the new standard is.
I don't think I will buy a USR again if I need a
modem, considering there was a $70 price difference.
