-> WC> I always used premium Ameco in the motorcycles and that -> WC> made a very noticable difference. Too spensive these days -> WC> :-( -> CA> I owned a tweaked Pontiac that had to use either Shell premium or -> CA> Sunoco 260 to avoid puffing black smoke out the exhaust. -> CA> THAT was expensive at 10 mpg! -> I owned a '67 Catalina one time that was fairly high compression -- 10:1 if I -> remember right. That thing not only needed high test but was fussy about which -> brand you put into it, too. The wrong brand and you'd lose power, lots of -> it. -> OTOH, with the right gas, you had to be *real* careful about pressing down on -> that gas pedal, or it'd just sit there spinning the wheels... :-) The XS-1100 Yamaha was a tad over 11-1. Hit the gas hard and you'd better have a death grip on the handlebars. --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: Try Our Web Based QWK: DOCSPLACE.ORG (1:123/140) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 123/140 500 106/2000 633/267 |
