The short answer is that ecs won't install on an athlon64 machine (some
athlon64 machines?) yet.  The workaround is to install on another machine
to:

1.  a disk you can then move to the a64 machine

2.  A spare partition (make sure it has the same drive letter as what you
want for the primary ecs boot partition on the a64 machine, and override
the hardware choices as needed to match the a64 machine). Once installed,
zip it up (using -rS), burn the zip file to CD, and unzip the CD on the
a64 using the ecs boot cd command line.
