Hello Alinda!  I read this echo, although I am not home schooling.  It is an 
option that I am looking at.
I have a very intelligent 5th grader.  He gets bored at school, he is in the 
"highly capable" program.  It is a Friday only thing, for a half hour.  He 
gets bored, gets his work done then gets off task and into trouble.  He is in 
self paced programs within his class, but that doesnt just seem to be enough. 
Anyway, I taught him to read using Hooked On Phonics before he was in 
kindergarten. :)  Was wondering if this program would be of interest to you 
and Daniel.  I am offering it for sale for $100.  Or for trade... tools, 
computer parts, who knows?  :>
