Hello Paul,
JT> You've screwed up one or more or your INI files. If you get lucky, you
JT> may be able to find an old INI, do a dir system.* win.* etc...
PE> Or maybe use undelete to get an old one? BFN. Paul.
It depends on how they are updated, many proggies will back up the old version
with a different extension, and then write a new version with the proper name.
If you edit the file manually, depending on the edit program you are using,
it may not even "erase" the old version and re-create a new one.
Even IF it has an erased old version, there is little chance of getting it
back, remember people are adding and removing files all the time, and chances
are that area will be overwritten.
Unless you have whatever tsr that copies these files as a backup, or run a
netware fileserver that keeps files anyway and you haven't purged the system.
In other words, if using dos, there is little chance of using that method to
get files back.
