 -> Hmmm.  Flashing to -25 cured it for me.  You might try
 -> re-flashing and see if that helps.  If not, there should be
 -> an init variable to turn your retrain off.
Well, currently in order to flash to 25, i had to reupdate the modem with the 
336now.exe before i could use the rev. 25á flash coz if i flashed it directly 
with the REAL release of the Rev 25 update  weirdly my modem acts 
quite strangely. Also, I have also noticed that 28.8 v.34 users who login, 
their speed drops to a measly 24000 BPS under v.34. Same goes for V.FC is 
this a BUG? Also like in the past few mails sent in by users, the modem hangs 
up after connect with certain modems with a 3 on its screen.
