Hello Lee. Where do you work? Where does your info come from. I work for
the program in question. I have done so for over 21 years. I have frequent
contact with all of the officials who would have anything to do with this.
I don't want to attack anyone, but will defend myself. I have exchanged
private mail with Mr. Gashel, and I think that he understands that I'm not
making anything up, as we have been talking to some of the same people. As
I have said previously, The Government scene is undergoing great changes.
There are all kinds of trial baloons floating around. Top management is
soliciting ideas from lower level officials, and those ideas are coming
forward. That doesn't mean that thee will be great changes in the near
future. For the V. A. do expand its mission beyond what it is doing now,
there would have to be great expenditures made for additional physical
facilities and staff. The money for that just isn't there. But I would
like to put forth one more concept. What would be so terrible about the V.
A. expanding its mission to serve others. Certainly, blind Arizonans would
be better served by the V. A. than no center at all. However, it was the
Federation that decided to condemn the efforts of the fathers of blind
rehabilitation in America.

where the va was trying to contract for outside clients. Mr gashel is quite
correct when he sais what he sais. If you would bother to check anything
besides your own opinion you would realise it. I that at first you wer just
misinformed, but now I think you are deliberately ignoring the facts. Wake
up!!!
