Yep. We do this every couple of years now as the company continues to get
squeezed between the new breed of super-giant oil company (e.g.,
ExxonMobil, ChevronTexaco, ConocoPhilips, BP, Shell) and the more
enterprenurial independents, like Ocean Energy and Anadarko).

The result will be continued downsizing, outsourcing, and movement of the
deck chairs by the survivors.  I expect that this time, in addition to
further outsourcing of HR and IT, we'll see accounting functions and maybe
even "non-core" (e.g, reservoir, production, and drilling)
engineering functions jobbed out.
