Hi, Mike.

So presumably... the kernel asks to read (for example) a particular block
based on its block number, and the disk driver converts this into a
cylinder-sector-head address which it thens asks the drive controller
itself to find? Or am I barking up the wrong tree..? No particular reason
for this, I don't have a desire to write disk drivers, just interested.
Andrew.
