++> Inspired by some Keith Knapp words to Frank Masingilll

KK> .....True enough. A century ago the existence of "races" was
KK> so obvious to people that they had to find solutions. Today
KK> we know
....S O M E do!
KK> that genetically there is no such thing as "race," and that
KK> we all have an instinctive tendency to fear and hate anyone who
KK> looks different than we do. That is the basis of racism.
......"racism" (distinctionisms) may have a "nature wisdom"
purpose buried deeper or between genes we are not yet privy to-
....the "e" microscope has its limits even when it knows what
it is supposed to be looking for .
KK> When a person is desperately awaiting an organ for an organ transplant,
KK> doctors know they must have an organ from a donor who is genetically
KK> as close as possible, or the organ will be rejected by the body.
KK> It is not unusual that the donor whose organ is genetically
KK> closest to that of the donee is from another "race."
KK> Take any two African gorillas from different social groups, and
KK> you will find more genetic 'distance' than you find between
KK> any two humans _anywhere on earth_. "Race' is a fiction based
KK> on trivial physical characteristics that trigger our instinctive
KK> hatred of people outside of our tribe.
.....a definition whose time is pregnant.....?
KK> There is a modern explanation for this xenophobia, this instictive
KK> need to support the Cowboys versus the Broncos, this instinctive
KK> hatred of people with slanted eyes or chocolate skin, or a language
KK> we don't understand: no one can survive alone on the savannah or
KK> the forest, but a group can survive quite well. So those who
KK> instinctively formed groups were those who survived.
Now that the productive elements of society are getting away
from "xenophobia", we migrate out to a yet next level of
"under-racism", (xenotransplantation) the surgical-ish manipulation
of other-species-flesh. Initially primitive to produce non rejectionable
human bent organs; thence unto "Erector Set" novels and exotic necessities.
.......yes! nature has, perhaps, reason to fear us ...
