I'm just another of the .1 brigade.  I generally don't like buying the first
release of a new version of anything. My experience is that it usually has 
bugs.
By the time version x.1 comes out most of the bugs have been ironed out.
As far as 7.0 goes I haven't used it so I can't comment on it.
