Everything above is correct.  Your drive is attached, and you can copy
files to it, read files   
from it, and so on. 
    
> But RSJ Copywizard tells me that Target drive CDR: has Status: Device

This is also correct, assuming you have 'attached the drive'. These
applications require that   
the drive NOT be 'attached' with the RSJ CDWriter Control program. The
drive is accessed only   
via the other RSJ applications you mentioned.  I use CDView, for example,
to burn the DFSee ISO   
files.

If you think this is confusing, you should have seen the 1.x versions! :^) 
 
Hope this helps a bit. Be sure and look at the PDF file included with RSJ
for documentation on   
the CDView and CopyWizard. And remember that the Control program is used
only to attach the   
drive for use like a HDD. This is where you can use all the old, familiar,
DOS and OS/2   
commands from the command line.
