You can't change the init string, but you can use the "Extra setting" to make 
some changes to what gets sent after Windows init's the modem.  Right click 
on the connection you've setup.  Choose Properties.  Then Configure, select 
the connection Tab, then select advanced.  Type what you want in the extra 
settings, and include an AT (I believe) before your string.
