A good guess at this point. It has regional diversity which
is usually looked for in a VP choice. Somehow though, the
personalities of Bush and Forbes seem to be a bit more divergent than I
would think best. However, the same thing existed between Reagan and
Bush Sr., could work. I don't see Quayle being selected by anyone as a
VP again even if he were willing to take the job...too much negative
baggage which will also deny him the party nomination for the
forseeable future. Kemp might make a run but he's just not going to
take the party nomination either. I'm really surprised more of a fuss
wasn't kicked up over Dole's selection of him as a running mate last
time around.
A Bush - Forbes ticket could become a reality. If you want
to think about a dark horse with presidential potential and an
electable character in the Republican party, what do you think about
Trent Lott.
