JN> I loved metal slug. It was very reminescent of the good old days. Good
Cool...; so this Neo*Geo game HAS gotten with people...; wasn't sure
weather people would like it or not, but it seems that quite a few
people have played it, and like it. =)
JN> animation and meaty explosions. One of my favorite games is Time
Uh huh... doesn't appear to be many games of that type comin' out
anymore...; definitely a hot genre of the past... and this revives
the interest beautifully. =)
JN> Crises. But I also hate it because it eats quarters. So I'm never
JN> playing that until they make it 2 to start and 1 to continue, rather
JN> than 3 for start and 3 for continue.
Hmm... I've heard of Time Crisis, but I've never cared to play it. =/
I don't try out many games, actually...; I just pick a few and stick
with 'em, I guess. =) I haven't played any of those one-on-one SFII
type games in the arcades for perhaps YEARS...! Don't think I want to
get lured into spendin' all my quarters learnin' new moves for new
characters, just to move onto another game, and doin' the same thing. 0_o
Yeah... arcade games ARE pretty expensive nowadays, huh? Can't really
blame 'em all that much for destroyin' the 25 cent arcade world...;
after all, the games out there nowadays are so much more advanced,
especially the deluxe car games, where they have the whole unit with
seat and all sittin' there. =/ Those things cost tens of thousands
each, I THINK.
JN> I played daytona recently. And this dude shoved me on the side so bad,
JN> I turned around and drove backwards the rest of the race, ensuring
JN> that he got last place...other than me.
Heh... you know, you can actually drive backwards on PURPOSE?! As in you
can go backwards and still win? It counts all your laps and times, you
know? That's pretty, cool, don't you think? =) But pretty tough 'goin
'gainst all the traffic, that's for sure. 0_o At an arcade that I
sometimes go to, there's EIGHT Daytonas linked up together! That's
AWESOME! You and seven friends can race head to head... =) And it's
only 75 cents per play... and that's in Canadian funds, mind you.
Almost EVERYWHERE else is $1, so that place is better, and cheaper. It
even has further discounts... so that makes it all the better. =)
JN> Play Virual On/Cybertroopers. I know this is a cybersled like game but
JN> this game executes it perfectly. This is such a fun two player game
JN> and a nerve wrecking game...which is great.
Hmm... never heard of this game... maybe I'll keep an eye out for it... =/
JN> I loved going to the arcades a few years back, make that 6 years back
JN> where there were big crowds around games. And playing them in front of
JN> that big crowd felt oh so good. I wanna go back to the old days! Today
JN> doesn't have that feel anymore...
No? No more crowds around games? Hmm... I remember a few years ago, when
Street Fighter II was the craze, 'round every machine would be a circle
of people watchin' the action. =) It's true that it won't ever be like
that 'gain, but I still see some pretty healthy crowds 'round machines
at times... =/
