Hello Karen!
KW> KW>Ah, but why buy one when you have one. Or are you suggesting I trash
it
KW> KW>before coming home? I mean otherwise I would be carring something
extra
KW> KW>home.
KW> HN> Yep, leave it for the maid who cleans your room at the hotel...that's
KW> HN> what I do, they are small cheap and it is more effort to bring one
KW> HN> along than it is to buy one when you get there....I often will stop
y
KW> HN> a thrift store wherever I go (like the last time in Arizona) and pick
KW> HN> up a pair of used boots to stomp the desert. I don't have any here at
KW> HN> home and don't want to carry lots of baggage, used boots at a thrift
KW> HN> store are really cheap and I just drop em off at the same store when
KW> HN> leave...it's like renting them for the short time I need them.
KW>You are setting me on a different path. With all the ideas you are
KW>giving me, I'm likely to give up photography and go back to writing!!!
KW>Keep talking. I'm taking notes: How To Travel Without Luggage and
KW>Still Have Everything You Need.
KW>1. Buy it cheap and leave it for the maid
KW>2. Buy it at a local thrift shop and sell it back to them before you
KW>leave.
KW>3........got any more??? :)
You may have noticed that I am cheap! I never, never, never, never
ever check any of my photo equipment as baggage, I alway carry it on
with me. Same for medications. Thrift shops are a great place to get
props for a shoot, I picked up two frames the other day for 99cents
each, I also picked one up for $10 from an antique store but it is more
ornate. The 99 cent ones will do just as well after I spray paint them.
KW>HN> So true, but I go to my back yard a lot more often than I go to
KW> HN> Arizona
KW>Don't we all???
KW>And yet, every time I go out there, something new appears :)
KW>Karen
Me too!
chat with you soon!
