subject: Alternative Messaging

While teleporting back from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe,
I asked All about Alternative Messaging:
I have a 2 machine Warp 3 Connect setup and we find that sending a
message is taking too long - up to a clear 5 seconds to go 15 metres!
Broadcasts are OK but addressed messages are slow and Network Messaging
is apparently not multi-threaded. I can't do anything else in NM while
it's sending. [Here endeth the problem description]
I use PMMail for I'net mailing (as usual) and having just updated to
v1.91, was wondering if anyone has used it as an alternative to
standard peer network messaging?
I am looking at registering another copy for the second machine, then
using the Custom Rexx exits on each to catch the "netmail" and divert
it to "the other machine's" PMMail Inbox.
Ciao,
John Angelico
