Greetings, Leslie...
Leslie Satenstein hastily said to Charles Bowman:

I'm with you on the InJoy... I *NEVER* got the fool thing to work here...
even after following various people's advice... With 5 account ID's being
used here, I've found the DOIP to be more useful because of the ease of
setup...
I'm also giving the new Advantis dialler a try (since I am in ibm.net). It
also allows multiple profiles, as well as enabling use of either SLIP or
PPP...
As for SIO, it allows me to lock my com ports at 115200, rather than the
57600 that COM.SYS maxes out on. I got roundly slagged for commenting on
that here a while back, but now that I have a second machine, it's been quite
nice transfer stuff back and forth via a null-modem cable (on COM2) between
the two machines at the higher speed. (And yes, it is noticeably faster..).
There are other advantages to SIO as well, but since I don't tend to play
with communications stuff, I haven't really exercised them...
