1. Are you sure your termination is OK?
2. Many people besides myself have found that XCOPY will crash/hang on a
large (the value of "large" being undefined) copy operation. After a
longish pause I eventually see the message "unable to access the source
file" (or some similar wording).
Now I usually use 4OS2's enhanced COPY command instead.
