Here's the latest I've seen about GCC/2, I received this when I was on the
GCC/2 mailing list...

To all users of gcc/2:

The latest port of gcc/emx is substantial better than gcc/2, and its
license is no more restrictive than gcc/2's license. At this time
I am withdrawing the gcc/2 port of gcc for OS/2. I myself plan
on switching to, and possibily contributing to, emx instead.
I encourage all gcc/2 users to download emx/gcc and use that excellent
development environment instead.

The mailing list supporting gcc/2 will be shutdown in a few weeks.
If there is any need in the future, I may resurrect it. In the meantime,
there exists a mailing list that discusses emx that you may wish to join.
For convenience, I've enclosed info about how to subscribe to it.
