subject: Greatest Responsibility

Hello Everybody,

"As President, I have often said that I have no greater
responsibility than protecting the American people."
~ President Barack Obama, 2011

Is he right? Is protecting the American people the greatest
responsibility a POTUS has? He should know, having served for
eight years as POTUS himself.

What does the US Constitution say? Barack Obama knows a lot
about the US Constitution. Used to teach it, back in the day.
Before he became POTUS.

The presidential oath of office that is prescribed by the
US Constitution (Article II, Section 1) makes it crystal clear.
The President's supreme responsibility is to "... preserve,
protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States."

Not one mention of public safety.

Seems the Framers of the Constitution forgot all about that part.

But hey. Trumpers know this is all fake news presented by
the news media, which adores the former president (and his
lady). Never a kind word will they say or write about the
orange menace that occupies the White House today ...
