The first one as I listed it is what I tried.  Of course, I tried all
logical and illogical combinations also.

I found something odd.  I placed a DOS boot disk in the floppy drive and
it booted to the A: prompt.  The eCS boot disk comes up with the "Read
Error!" message.  Placing the eCS floppy in my ThinkPad comes up with the
selection between booting from eCS CD-ROM or herd drive.

I have bootable hard drives, and eCS 1.0 will boot.
