  Before you go jousting with that next windmill and crying bug, look up
DosCloseEventSem().

  No it is a case of not looking in the right place.. Each function in the
Control Program Reference has a "Related Functions" section, that
is generally a good place to look when you can't find what you are looking
for right away.
