Sorry to be the messenger of bad news again, albeit it's not so much
news as an already 3 years old history.

There are no IBM 36 Gig scsi disks and there never have been!

Last scsi disks "made by IBM" were 18 Gig sized, (over 3 years ago now
btw), and even these already were notorious for their instant failures
(coz there were Hitachi disks in reality). Yes, I have has 2 of these
to, alas. And I had a bit of luck one of them under warrenty could be
replaced by a Quantum (by local dealer courtesy).

So, 3 years ago IBM ditched HD fabrication as a whole and sold it's
market share to Hitachi. Meaning, if you encouter a scsi disk larger
than 18 Gig with an IBM sticker on it's face, you know for sure it's a
Hitachi disk with the correspondent poor Hitachi (scsi) quality.

I can't recall the amount of times I've repeated this message ... will
you guys never learn?

Anyway, if you want scsi at Ebay, go for Seagate and Quantum and nothing
else.
