As a user of Norton AV v5.02 for the past 6 years, I was dismayed 
when the "live-update" site for new virus definitions d/l went dead in
the last month or two.

I called Symantec suppport umpteen times...talked to India twice...playing
telephone roulet in an attempt to determine the cause of losing OS/2 
support.   In one call, I had the selection of "AV support for 2002 and 
earlier products" Selecting that, I got the terse recorded message to
"Upgrade to the newest Symantec AV" and then got a dial tone.
Great customer support!! (NOT)

Believe it or not, I persevered, and finally got to "Corporate" somewhere
in Oregon USA.  There, after explaining the lost service, and being put on 
"hold" for 5 minutes, I was told the OS/2 product was discontinued. Of
course, there is absolutely nothing of this on their web site, tho I am a 
registered user with Norton OS/2 CD in hand.  I was not informed of this...
nothing.

So, I guess, I'll just have to move on to Norman AV or others.  If I had
the choice of Symantec, it would surely not be with them.

Hopefully this note will just save some time of other users of this product.

Got the hint??  ....Just move on.
