I have a huge collection of stuff on video (as anyone who reads the national
TV echo knows) and I have a good quantity of many of the cartoons you are
asking for, including some of Sydney the Elephant. (Animation is one of my
favorite catagories to collect).
My entire library is some 3500 tapes, collected over the last 19 years,
consisting of some 9000 movies, (many obscure ones with nude celebs no one
knows are out there, another specialty of mine), some 10000 hours of TV
series stuff (much of it rare from the 40s-60s - been trading with private
film collectors and tv archivists for 15 years) and things like news specials
or clips, cartoons, and other stuff.
Insofar as those TV series go I mentioned, the material I have is divided
into two catagories: new stuff and old stuff. New stuff, defined as 1980 and
after, I often have entire whole series of. Including hundreds of series
that have gone off the air quickly in their day. For example, shows like
"Out of the Blue" (A Mork & Mindy Spinoff), or "The McKinzies of Paradise
Cove", or "Pink Lady" (a variety show hosted by two cute Japanese gals who
couldn't speak any English!), or Yellow Rose or Lime Street or Project UFO,
or A Man Called Sloan. These are only a few examples of obscure series I
have. But I also have every episode of hundreds successful shows like
Quantum Leap, Star Trek TNG/Voyager/DS9, X-Files, B5, Married W/Children,
Dream On, Hawaii 5-O, etc. Hundreds of different complete series. And I
have cool specials too, like Star Trek's 15 Anniv. show, hosted by Bob
Wilkins (a very rare show).
In OLDER series, I have either single episodes or maybe several episodes of
series. Shows like Cavelcade of Stars (Jackie Gleason's first show, 1951),
Bob Hope Chrystler Theater, Empire, Stagecoach West, T.H.E. Cat, Tate (the
rare western), 11th Hour, Thriller, Outer Limits, Twilight Zone, It's About
Time, Gentle Ben, Lost In Space, Time Tunnel, Blue Light, Hazel, Batman,
Superman, The Green Hornet, Stingray, Fireball XL-5, Mr. and Mrs. North, Bat
Masterson, The Goldburgs, and hundreds more.
It's the same with cartoons. I have a bunch of the Harmon & Icing cartoons,
(best MGM animation ever), lots of Warner stuff, and shows like Milton the
Monster, Clutch Cargo, Heckle & Jeckel, Peter Potimus, Magilla Gorilla, Space
Ghost (the original), The Herculoids, The Super 7, Casper, (1960's), The
Amazing 3, Kimba, Speed Racer, Space Angel, Huckleberry Hound, Yogi Bear,
Alvin & the Chipmonks (original), Beanie & Cecil, Leo the Lion, Sydney (the
one you asked for), George of the Jungle, Super Chicken, Bat Fink, and
hundreds more, way to many to denote here.
I also have hundreds of pilots, aired and unaired (such as the extremely rare
90 MINUTE pilot for Lost In Space, which is much different than the 60 minute
unaired pilot), etc. And lots of sitcom pilots that never made it on-air,
such as the Rainbow Girls, or Haku, or the pilot for Mr. Ed where the cast
(and the voice of Ed) was totally different that what everyone knows from the
series. Same with original Dick Van Dyke pilot, or the My 3 Sons pilot...
Almost everything I have, with a few exceptions, I am willing to provide to
fellow archivists and collectors. Costs depend on the rarity of the material
requested. If you are interested, send me netmail with your phone number,
and I'll give you a call, and we can work out a trade perhaps, or whatever.
Or send me a TV/movie want list, and I can see what from it, I have. Hope to
hear from you soon...
