Hello, TOM.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the theory so I can get my Extra
(but I have too many other more important things, quite frankly, to do with
my time since I no longer own a HF rig). I actually have all 700+
questions, with answers, downloaded in a PDF on my computer. I'm going
through those questions and looking up the answers so I understand. After
my car accident in 2008, my short-term memory isn't the greatest (as
evidenced by the trouble I'm having in college currently) so I try to drill
it in my head. I -do- want to understand theory so I can optimize my
little radio setup. :)

There's a lot of people who enjoy VHF/UHF and don't want to do anything
else with it and that's fine. However, from what I've seen in the short 14
years I've had my license is that once a new ham gets a taste of HF, they
will generally upgrade to their General.

I'm only upgrading to my Extra because I can. Well, that and a little more
bandwidth to call DX in. :)

73,
Sean
