Hi Debby,
I haven't read any messages or looked at the computer in awhile so I
just thought I'd drop a line to you when I saw your message.
DT>-> might only get highlights from a cross-country trip, but how long is
DT>-> a show-jumping round or a dressage test? Is it too much to ask to
DT>-> see a performance in its entirety?
DT>I always want to know if the person taking the videos is a horse person
DT>or not. I hate dressage tapes where they tape a long shot of the rider
DT>for two seconds then show the horses legs for the rest of the test. I
DT>want to see if the riders hands are quiet and if the rider is beating
DT>the horse every step with their heels.
DT>BTW how are you doing in this weather. A lot of people in your area
DT>don't seem to have A/C. Can you believe Montery, 102 in October? I
DT>wonder if we're going to get fall or just summer then winter.
DT>I wanted to go out to ride yesterday but it was 94 at 6p.m. here and
DT>it's not fair to ride them in these temperatures with their winter
Have you been in any show lately??? or found out about any further
schools for riding?? As I remember you don't live that far from me do
you? I'm in Sacramento if you remember or rather in the Antelope are
which is near Roseville, CA that is towards Reno on I-80 just outside of
Sacramento.
Sounds like you have been having fits with the weather,AGAIN!!!!
Let me know how your horses are doing, Oh and if you talk to Bob again
ask him if It is possible to VET Tech for Horses and livestock and If so
How to get started?? Well, been busy with helping neighbors then my
truck was vandalized, had it back 2 days then it broke down then got it
back for a week and it went into the shop again for 3 days for a
radiator replacement-pretty soon I'll have a brand new truck, almost
anyways. Now my boyfriend is now my fiance' and we are looking at
buying a house, wish us luck we won the bid and we have a few more
things to iron out. But I haven't had transportation to get to the Bay
area so I'm working on trying to work with horses and livestock to start
with and then maybe volunteering with the marine mammal center in the
winter and spring time. Wish me luck and see if Bob has any insights.
Talk to you later,
Marianne
