My question with regard to this is, how long are you leaving it sit without
running that gas out? Gas will do this if it's let sit long enough...
Have you tried adding any sort of a stablizer to it? That'd be my first
recommendation. If you can't find it in regular auto parts sources, try a
place that deals with outdoor power equipment, such as mowers, chain saws,
etc. as these tend to sit around a lot too.

Where are you asking? I seem to remember some folks in that state (though I
can't remember where offhand) that have some pretty awesome collections of
cars, you might seek some of those people out and find out how they cope
with this problem.
