While digging in the garbage looking for blackmail material, I found this:
It seems, on 13 Aug 96 19:19:08, that Bill Cheek and All
were talking about WinRadio Coming!.
Now I have them!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
>For those not in the know.....WinRadio is a world-class, all-band receiver
that
>plugs into an AT-slot in your PC and is fully controlled by the computer and
>the provided software. Included below is the text from the WinRadio
brochure.
.....[after reading the text]......
YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING!!! YOU MADE THIS UP, RIGHT????????
Let me guess: 80 gazillion dollars plus tax.
It sounds too good to be true. Usually a radio like that is either the size
of a desk or (if it's small) a piece of doodoo since you can't *GET* all that
into a small case without losing sensitivity and intermodproofness. What can
they put on an itty-bitty circuitboard? HOW'D THEY SHIELD IT FROM THE
RF INSIDE THE COMPUTER??!??!?!?
I'll be waiting for your report.
P.S. I betcha sections of 800Mhz are locked out...permanently......sigh.....
