You don't have to help out. I am a non-diabetic who, because of my
husband's diabetes and multiple complications, has taken on Diabetes as my
research focus in getting my BA and Master's degree. I have submitted one of
my papers to University of Minnesota's Diabetes Institute for Immunology and
Transplantation for publication. If my research helps out one person, it
will be well worth it. Your harrassment is unreasonable. I never attempted
to force anyone to do anything. I asked if anyone would be interested.
That's all!
My husband has been diabetic since age 5. By the age of 27, he had over
25 laser coagulation surgeries for diabetic retinpathy and 2 vitrectomies.
He had a kidney transplant (living donor from his father) in July
1991because of diabetic nephroplasty. He had a heart attack in July 1995 and
was diagnosed with Coronary Artery Disease as a result of his diabetes. He
has had numerous stress fractures presumably as a result of the steroids
that he is on post kidney transplant. Last July, Paul had a pancreas
transplant and is at last free from hypoglycemia and elevated blood sugars.
He feels great and would do it again in a heartbeat.
I thought that this group would be warm and welcoming. Obiously, I was
wrong. Sorry if I disturbed you. I will bow out now, and not contact anyone
unless I am contacted first.
