[ Reading raw audio data from CD ] SL>I believe that this is not possible. My CD-ROM plays redbook through the SL>drive itself. The rest of my computer doesn't see it unless I run a phono SL>cable to the soundcard. Stephen, you should check out the latest CD player utility coming with OS/2 Warp. You can select a digital transfer mode, which will read the audio data from SCSI drives and play it through the sound card. Even some IDE drives support reading raw digital audio, but I don't know if the OS/2 Warp CD player supports these. I just tried this again with my Toshiba 3501 and it works fine. Normally, the drive blinks about once a second when playing audio by itself, but when I select "Digital Transfer" it begins to blink very rapidly and the SCSI-LED is getting very busy, too. There are other (DOS) utilities for reading audio data from compact disc, which will save the sound as raw or Wave files. Bye, Thomas --- CrossPoint v3.0* Origin: Der Weihnachtsmann ist im Anmarsch!
