I know what you mean. I'd rather deal with somebody who brings a bit
stronger sense of ethics to what he's doing, of craftsmanship, if that
word applies.

This is starting to sound a bit like the attempts at managing what I have
to do here -- I made a list the other day, nowhere near complete, but
what is there is all technical stuff and it's all stuff that I've been
meaning to get to for some time, but somehow I never quite seem to get
around to it. Maybe putting in written form and organizing my thoughts a
bit further will help me make it happen, maybe not.

RJT> Possibly. I think so. Ask your handy pharmacist?

WC> I shall, generally they're more help than doctors in my experience
WC> as they'll inform and talk to you far more than a doctor.

Yes.

RJT> I got to the point way back where I decided that it was better to find

WC> Never did anything but pot for stress relief rather than pleasure.

RJT> It's amazing that he could get that given the political climate
RJT> surrounding such stuff these days...

WC> Note I say acquaintance as he's, legal junkie, no longer welcome

So it would seem. At least that's been my experience.

WC> That's what the political climate has fostered. Watched "On Death
WC> and Dying" with Bill Moyers and a doctor dying of esophegous
WC> cancer couldn't get adaquate pain medication at the hospital he
WC> formerly worked in as an oncologist :-(

Was that on his "NOW" show? I started to watch that but gave up
after one episode in which he really went on a rant, I couldn't believe
what sort of crap he was spouting. I haven't had the inclination to look
at it since then.

WC> This is why I've not seen a doctor since 95 when I blew about 600
WC> dollars making the rounds of doctors.

I've seen only one in recent years, they ended up sending me a bill rather
than submitting it to my insurance (I'm still letting them hassle that one
out), I never got any results for what I went in there for, and the place
where the practice was stood empty the last time I went by there. I had
one appointment with the guy that Nancy's seeing, they said they were
gonna try and get the records on what went down, I haven't heard back from
them yet, and that was several months ago now. It's a breathing thing,
it's seasonal, and related to weather as well, which leads me to think
allergy, so there oughta not be too damn much difficulty in finding out
and dealing with it. We'll see how it goes from here...

WC> If I *ever* see a doctor again I'm going to make him do a spinal
WC> x-ray before anything else. Problem there being getting a clear one
WC> as they position me in such a way I involuntarily shake from the
WC> pain and pinched nerves, such was a major problem back in 95.

A good radiologist is also hard to find. I remember when I broke my
collarbone in a car crash some years back the tech screwed up, and had to
do it over, while I was seeing only shades of gray, and according to what
I'm told turning various shades of green. What pissed me off was that they
billed for both of them!
